Hello February!
It is the shortest month of the year with MANY new releases.
February is the time to celebrate LOVE in all forms. And since we love books so much, we are excited to add these new releases to our TBR. From romance to fantasy to thrillers, there’s something for everyone!

Bonus Book of the Month: ‘Network Effect’ by Martha Wells
Well, if you are and in case you didn’t know MBC is obsessed with the series, and the community has chosen Network Effect as the bonus book for February! This month feels extremely short and we have chosen two short books filled with magical world-building and wonderful characters.
Maude Garrett has had Martha Wells on the show to discuss the first two novellas, and it was a great discussion.
Book of the Month Preview: ‘Divine Rivals’ By Rebecca Ross
Hello Romantasy lovers!
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross was released last year and has been on the MBC radar. After winning the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Young Adult Fantasy and Science Fiction, it was a necessity to read this during the month of LOVE!

Book Review: ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ By Sarah J. Maas
Welcome to the newcomers, and if you didn’t know, I am the resident critic! There are some books I will be reading with the community and some other novels that are trending. I have always wanted to read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas because Maude Garrett and the rest of the community have spoken so highly of the series.
Everyone has fallen in love with this series, and it was a joy to read along with our incredible community. As a new reader, I wanted to dive into as many series as possible this year. So not only will you be getting a review for the first instalment of this series, but the rest as well!
There will be SPOILERS below, so if you haven’t read the series yet…BEWARE!

We thought it would be nice to share the questions we have prepared for our book club with all of you. What Comes After ‘Iron Flame’ by Rebecca Yarros?
Everyone has finished Iron Flame, and we eagerly await book three in The Empyrean series. There is no release date for the third book in the series…even though it did show up on Goodreads that it would be November 2024 at one time. Rebecca Yarros said she would need to take a bit more time with the third one, so naturally, we’re in for a wild ride.
After reading Iron Flame, it’s impossible not to have any theories on deck. Too much happened in Part Two of that novel, and Yarros left us hanging…again. Here are some theories swirling around the Internet that could come true in The Empyrean Book 3.

If You Like ‘Mean Girls’ Add These To Your TBR
Tina Fey adapted Queen Bees and Wannabees by Rosalind Wiseman for the original script. The parenting and adolescent self-help book breaks down the cliques in high school and how damaging the notion of popularity can be. Girls go through so much in “Girl World,” and Fey was able to highlight all of that in Mean Girls. Everyone feels seen in that film, and that’s why it will always have a place in the zeitgeist.
