The 10 Most Anticipated Book Adaptations Of Fall 2025
2025 has been filled with incredible new book releases. For some reason, most of the book adaptations are released in the last quarter of the year. There are film adaptations that everyone is excited about. Some may not be aware that these books are being adapted, so MBC is here to help you all.
The books listed below are also among my most anticipated for the second half of the year. Hopefully, we can read them before they head to the big screen. From romance to horror to sci-fi, here are the 10 most anticipated book adaptations for the rest of 2025.
Vineland by Thomas Pynchon
A group of Americans in Northern California in 1984 are struggling with the consequences of their lives in the sixties, still run by the passions of those times -- sexual and political -- which have refused to die. Among them is Zoyd Wheeler who is preparing for his annual act of televised insanity (for which he receives a government stipend) when an unwelcome face appears from out of his past.
An old nemesis, federal prosecutor Brock Vond, storms into Vineland at the head of a heavily armed strike force. Soon Zoyd and his daughter, Prairie, go into hiding while Vond begins a relationship with Zoyd's ex-wife and uses Prairie as a pawn against the mother she never knew she had.
Part daytime drama, part political thriller, Vineland is a strange evocation of a twentieth-century America headed for a less than harmonic future.
One Battle After Another will be released in theatres September 26th, 2025.
The Long Walk by Stephen King

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Mary Shelley's chilling Gothic tale was conceived when she was only eighteen, living with her lover Percy Shelley on Lake Geneva. The story of Victor Frankenstein who, obsessed with creating life itself, plunders graveyards for the material to fashion a new being, but whose botched creature sets out to destroy his maker, would become the world's most famous work of horror fiction, and remains a devastating exploration of the limits of human creativity.
Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein will be released November 2025.
Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
Every day I clean the Winchesters’ beautiful house top to bottom. I collect their daughter from school. And I cook a delicious meal for the whole family before heading up to eat alone in my tiny room on the top floor.
